As we already know, with this scenario of social isolation, we producers of the performing arts were forced to abruptly interrupt our creative processes and adapt, as far as possible, to new digital platforms and other means to keep our art. However, I positively see this transformation as I discovered new possibilities that enriched my artistic work, through computer programs for the production and editing of digital music and sound effects, and the production of graphic animation which until then I didn't have much knowledge, but I always wanted to learn. I started to look even more at advertising videos, music videos, movies and series, vignettes and cartoons, and everything that contains soundtrack, animation, and effects. I noticed then a strong presence of such resources in most media and that although have already been explored since the emergence of cinema, they have been evolving more and more with technological advances and expansion through the Internet.

Currently, large advertising companies use these audiovisual resources, which have become the new trends in this sector, in all parts of the planet, opening doors to a broad job market; not to mention the popularization of new TV and web channels, which daily show increasingly creative content, using these resources. After researching and analyzing the vast possibilities that these programs offer, I have been developing a project that I called “Clipe Musical Animado” (Animated Music Clip) or “ClipMotion”, whose, as I mentioned, I use computer programs for the production and editing of digital music and sound effects, film production and editing, animation, and graphic design. I use six programs in all, and almost all of them are free, but which, however, offer very professional and quality features. Also, I have explored a lot of the “chroma-key” technique, which has made my life easier, regarding image overlays and insertions of virtual scenarios, in addition to effects and 3D techniques.

At first, I create the songs in specific programs for music production, then in other programs, I create some graphic elements, whether in drawings or images and then I make these elements move; technique, this one, which mixes graphic design and cinema, known as “motion design”, “motion graphics” or simply “motion”. I still don't consider myself a “motion designer”, but thanks to my training and experiences as a graphic designer and illustrator, I have enough reasons to believe that one day I can get there. Furthermore, I have always been fond of visual language as a form of communication, since it is more than proven that the general public prefers to watch rather than read or listen; since, when visual elements are used to represent an idea, our brain more easily assimilates the information captured, storing it more efficiently in our memory. What do you prefer? Watch, read, or listen?
Anyway, “Clipe Musical Animado” or “ClipMotion”, is nothing more than a series of video clips that tell, through songs, graphic animation, and effects, stories with different themes, according to musical compositions, mostly instrumental. Like the soundtrack, the images are created spontaneously, without the interference of sketches, or pre-determined stories, at least in this project. I think that when it comes to art, creation should be free of limitations and come naturally through improvisation, will, and the tools that are within my reach at the moment. What is the main objective of ClipMotion? - Just tell you stories...
